Feds: Detroit-area man threatens to behead NYC officer

This is a written threat and has to be taken extremely seriously."Pantaleo is the New York City officer who was involved in the arrest and death of Eric Garner on July 17.The FBI says the man behind the post is Alvaro Eduardo Guzman-Telles, 29, of Hamtramck, who was tracked down following a tip received by the FBI office in New York.According to an affidavit filed by FBI agent Juan Herrera, the FBI office in New York received a tip on Dec. 29 about a Facebook user who was posting threatening messages about law enforcement between Dec. 15-19. The Facebook user's name was Eduardo Guzman, a.k.a. Captain Acab, who owns three handguns, the affidavit states.The first of Guzman's posts states: "Kill all cops on sight. No matter the circumstances."The FBI traced the Facebook user to Sterling Heights and sent agents to a home there on Jan. 1. There, they found Guzman-Telles's mother, who told the agents that she knew of her son's Facebook postings and told him to delete the posts "and that he could get in trouble," the affidavit said.Guzman-Telles followed his mother's advice and deleted the posts, the affidavit said.The mother also told federal agents that on Dec. 19, her son had traveled to Mexico by car. She also told them that he was living in Hamtramck.According to the affidavit, Guzman-Telles has no criminal history.He has been arrested and is facing up to five years in prison on a charge of interstate transmission of threatening communications.His attorney, James Thomas, was not readily available for comment.Hack attack: 80 million at risk in Anthem breachFeb 05, 2015
