Teen shows 'Moose' the steer to honor friend's memory

But, for the past couple of weeks, she hasn't been preparing her own steer for the big show. Instead, she's been preparing her friend, Adam's, steer."He's probably smiling down because he got his steer to show at the stock show," Huss says with a smile.Adam was supposed to show his own steer, before he suddenly passed away following a dirt bike accident. He spent 25 days in a coma, before finally succumbing to his injuries. His family didn't think they would make it to the stock show this year. But Huss changed their mind."Peyton has given that to us. She's got us back down here and got us into something somewhat normal and something that he certainly enjoyed. And because he did, we can enjoy it again," says Adam's father Brett Ginther.Watch the video above to see Adam's steer that Huss hopes will win take home the blue ribbon.While it's been a tough road, Huss knows Adam would want her to be strong.
