Obama veto threats at record pace to begin new Congress

But the White House blames Republicans, saying they're bringing up bills they already know he opposes.Whoever's at fault, the amount of veto brinksmanship appears to be at a modern high. Counting a verbal veto threat on an Iran sanctions bill that hasn't been drafted yet, Obama's veto threat count so far this year rises to nine. By comparison, Reagan issued five veto threats by this point in 1987, but those threats were on different versions of just two bills.Until now, Obama had been relatively restrained in his use of vetoes and veto threats. Working with a Democratic-controlled Congress, Obama spent the first 17 months of his presidency without issuing a single veto threat, before using it on a Republican-sponsored bill on greenhouse gas emissions.His 148 veto threats in his first six years had been the fewest of any president since Reagan. And he's vetoed just two bills, the fewest of any president since James Garfield's assassination-shortened 199-day term in 1881.So the spurt of veto threats may bode poorly for bipartisan cooperation as Obama faces a Republican-controlled Congress for the first time in his presidency.Congressional Republicans say the veto threats are sabotaging any chance of bipartisanship. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said he confronted Obama about his veto threats at a meeting at the White House two weeks ago."He starts off how he wants to work together. I said, 'Mr, President, you've already issued five veto threats. If you want to work together, why not let the legislative process play out?' " McCarthy said. "The president really couldn't answer me when I called him on it."But the White House says congressional Republicans are deliberately passing veto-bait bills they already know the president opposes."Right out of the gate we see that the new Republican majority in Congress is actually recycling old legislation that they know that the President strongly opposes," Press Secretary Josh Earnest said this month. "So it doesn't send a very clear signal that this new Republican Congress is ready to pursue a different political strategy than the one that they've pursued for the last four years."Most veto threats come through what's known as a statement of administration policy, issued by the Office of Management and Budget.But Obama also issued four veto threats in a single paragraph of his State of the Union speech. "We can't slow down businesses or put our economy at risk with government shutdowns or fiscal showdowns. We can't put the security of families at risk by taking away their health insurance, or unraveling the new rules on Wall Street, or refighting past battles on immigration when we've got a system to fix. And if a bill comes to my desk that tries to do any of these things, it will earn my veto," he said.Then he issued a fifth veto threat on an as-yet-unwritten Iran sanctions bill. "New sanctions passed by this Congress, at this moment in time, will all but guarantee that diplomacy fails — alienating America from its allies; and ensuring that Iran starts up its nuclear program again," Obama said. "That is why I will veto any new sanctions bill that threatens to undo this progress."That's the most veto threats in a single State of the Union Address since at least Franklin Roosevelt, according to the fact-checking web site Politifact.Do veto threats make a difference? Consider the case of the Promoting Job Creation and Reducing Small Business Burdens Act, which would roll back some of the Dodd-Frank financial regulations passed in the aftermath of the financial meltdown.That bill first came to the House floor on Jan. 7 under suspension of the rules — meaning it needed a two-thirds majority to pass. It fell short, 276-146, with 35 Democrats voting for the bill. The next week, the House voted again on a straight up-or-down vote.In the meantime, Obama issued a veto threat on Jan. 12 — and the bill lost the support of seven more Democrats.Two members — Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., and Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill. — said they simply hit the wrong button the first time they voted on the bill. But others said the veto threat did force them to reconsider the bill.Rep. Suzan DelBene, D-Wash., originally supported the bill despite misgivings over the delaying implementation of the Volcker Rule, which prohibits banks from making speculative investments."After the veto threat and the lack of support to pass it under suspension of the rules, she saw that there would be an opportunity to go back to the drawing board and pass a bipartisan bill that doesn't include this damaging provision and craft a more reasonable bill that would actually have a chance of becoming law," said DelBene spokeswoman Ramsey Cox.Another bill Obama threatened to veto would have banned abortions after 20 weeks. That bill was pulled from the floor after moderate House Republicans objected to provisions dealing with rape.McCarthy said veto threats do make it more difficult for House members — especially Democrats — to take tough votes. "I think in their minds, they're afraid of losing on a bill he could veto," he said.But Samuel Kernell, a political science professor at the University of California, San Diego, said the real audience for Obama's veto threats is in the upper chamber. The House rarely removes an objectionable provision from a bill because of a veto threat, but the Senate — where rules give the minority party more clout — often does."The Senate is where the action is," Kernell said. "The vast majority of all veto threats, if they are going to be accommodated at all, will be accommodated in the Senate."That accommodation doesn't seem to be happening. The Senate is poised to vote on a bill approving the Keystone XL pipeline before turning to a Homeland Security spending bill that attempts to block Obama's executive action on immigration. Both are subject to veto threats.Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., remains unfazed."The President vetoed two bills in six years — two little bills over technicalities," he said on CBS' 60 Minutes Sunday. "The reason was the Senate never sent him anything that caused him any discomfort. In our system, it's going to happen occasionally. Presidents veto bills."Adam Jentleson, a spokesman for Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said McConnell "is deciding to spend 100% of the Republican Senate's first month on bills certain to be vetoed.""This is not a serious attempt to govern," Jentleson said. Redelineation exercise must be fair to all, says Sabah politician

A Sabah politician has reminded the Election Commission (EC) that any redelineation of electoral boundaries for Malaysia must not favour any political parties.Datuk Seri Wilfred M. Bumburing (pic) referred to the polls body's redelineation proposal for Sarawak, which sparked accusations of gerrymandering.He said similar exercise for the rest of country must adhere to the provisions in the Federal Constitution, especially in the drawing up of more seats."The electoral boundaries must not be engineered in way as to favour a particular party to win more seats than the other parties in any general election."It would seem very illogical in the eyes of the international community to see a minority group of community winning more seats than the majority, because, regardless of whatever political philosophy a particular party upholds, the voting pattern is still along racial lines," said the Angkatan Perubahan Sabah president in a statement today.While agreeing that the delineation of electoral boundaries was needed since the last one took place in 2003, Bumburing said the EC need to meet with all stakeholders to obtain feedback before presenting the proposed exercise to Parliament.Any redelineation has to be in accordance to the 13th Schedule of the Federal Constitution.The exercise to redraw electoral boundaries is supposed to be carried out once every eight years to cater to development and the increase in the number of voters.The boundary redelineation process was supposed to start late last year for the entire country but floods that ravaged the northeastern states of the peninsula disrupted the plan, forcing the EC to postpone it to this year at a date that has yet to be determined.Once the exercise starts, the EC will have to complete it within two years before the final report on the recommendations for redelineation is submitted to the prime minister, and then tabled in Parliament for approval and finally, presented to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for endorsement.Despite allegations of manipulation of electoral boundaries and unfair distribution of voters by the EC, electoral reform group Bersih 2.0 believed that redelineation was needed but had said it has to be conducted in a transparent manner according to the Federal Constitution.The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections said that if redelineation was not carried out, past irregularities or distortions would persist and might worsen over time, causing elected representatives serving growing number of electorates to be overburdened.Election analyst and Bersih member Dr Wong Chin Huat had said without redelineation, problems related to gerrymandering (manipulation of electoral boundaries) and malapportionment (unequally sized constituencies) would remain.Already, opposition politicians and civil society groups had cried foul over EC's proposal to redraw electoral boundaries in Sarawak and raise the number of seats by 11, claiming that the exercise had caused inequalities in the sizes of constituencies.Besides the new seats, the EC has also recommended a change of name for one parliamentary and four state constituencies.The proposal to increase seats is believed to be made now due to the impending state elections, which must be held by April next year.There is also speculation that a snap polls in the Borneo state could be held this year.Critics fear that the ruling Barisan Nasional government would use the exercise as a tool to redraw boundaries or increase the number of seats in its favour.However, the EC had said redelineation was needed to balance out parliamentary areas to ensure they did not burden the MPs.It had previously said it was looking at increasing federal seats by about 15% to 20% in its redelineation exercise, with new seats carved out in Selangor, Johor, Perak, Kelantan, Kedah and Terengganu.Malaysia practises a first-past-the-post system in elections where the winner takes all and forms the government of the day by having the most number of seats in Parliament, notwithstanding its share of the popular vote. – January 28, 2015.

ในการแข่งขันแต่ละครั้งจะมีผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 2 ทีม ทีมละ 3 คน ประกอบไปด้วยดารา-นักแสดง 2 คน และผู้แข่งขันจากทางบ้านอีก 1 คน ผู้เข้าแข่งขันทั้ง 2 ทีมจะต้องส่งตัวแทนทีมละ 1 คนออกมาแข่งตอบคำถามภายในเวลา 2 นาที ซึ่งคำถามที่ทั้ง 2 คนจะต้องตอบนั้นเป็นคำถามชุดเดียวกัน โดยคนที่ยังไม่ได้เล่นจะต้องไปเก็บตัวนอกห้องส่งเพื่อไม่ให้ได้ยินคำถาม-คำตอบในชุดนั้น ส่วนคนที่ตอบคำถามจะต้องขึ้นไปนั่งบนเก้าอี้ล่อฟ้า ซึ่งเก้าอี้จะเลื่อนขึ้นทุกครั้งที่ตอบถูก และตกลงมาที่จุดเริ่มต้นทุกครั้งที่ตอบผิด โดยจะยึดคำตอบแรกที่ผู้แข่งขันตอบออกมาเป็นหลัก คนที่ตอบคำถามได้ถูกต้องติดต่อกันมากกว่าจะเป็นฝ่ายชนะในรอบนั้น (ในกรณีที่คะแนนในรอบนั้นเสมอ จะไม่มีทีมไหนได้คะแนนในรอบนั้น) ทีมไหนชนะได้ 3 ครั้งก่อนจะกลายเป็นแชมป์ และมีสิทธิเข้ารอบ Jackpot ต่อไป

ทั้งนี้ หากผู้แข่งขันคนใดคนหนึ่งในทีมสามารถตอบคำถามได้ถูกต้องติดต่อกัน 10 ข้อ จะได้รับเงินรางวัล 100,000 บาทจาก AIS 3G 2100 ซึ่งเป็นผู้สนับสนุนหลัก และถึอว่าทีมนั้นเป็นแชมป์ทันทีเช่นกัน

DAP demands special audit as 1MDB seeks third loan-repayment delay

Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua says 1MDB is holding Malaysian banks hostage by seeking a third extension for its overdue RM2 billion loan. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, January 28, 2015.Putrajaya must conduct a special audit of 1Malaysia Development Bhd's (1MDB) finances after the strategic investor reportedly requested for a third extension to repay a local RM2 billion loan, throwing a spotlight on its finances, says a DAP lawmaker.Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua said 1MDB was "holding Malaysian banks hostage by seeking a third extension for its overdue RM2 billion loan", citing a Bloomberg report yesterday saying “1MDB is planning to seek another one-month extension" on its RM2 billion loan “to give it more time to sell a stake in its energy unit"."This news is shocking as 1MDB has already missed two repayment deadlines for a RM2 billion debt in November and December 2014. Even this RM2 billion loan itself is part of a rescheduled and restructured debt it couldn’t pay in November 2013," he said in a media statement released in Kuala Lumpur today.He said the loan repayment extension raised a bigger question about the US$1.1 billion (RM3.9 billion) of funds which recently-appointed 1MDB chief executive officer Arul Kanda Kandasamy had announced as “redeemed" from its Cayman Islands investment on 13th January."Why couldn’t 1MDB have repaid the RM2 billion loan with the proceeds of the redemption first to ease the pressure on 1MDB?" he asked."The 1MDB debt crisis and its inability to resolve the meagre amount relative to its RM42 billion debt betrays the fact that the company is in serious financial trouble. Its assets are over-leveraged and illiquid while in all probability, 1MDB is also unable to exit its investments without incurring substantial losses," he added.Pua said that Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is the chairman of the Board of Advisers for 1MDB "can no longer hide behind the outlandish façade and rhetoric that 1MDB is financially strong when it has to reschedule its RM2 billion debt repayment thrice"."Instead, Datuk Seri Najib must instruct a special audit of 1MDB by the Auditor-General or a reputable independent auditor to uncover its financial shenanigans," the DAP lawmaker said.He pointed out that the Edge Financial Daily had reported that Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) had summoned key executives of 1MDB over the loan repayment and warned them of the consequences in failing to meet the loan repayment deadline this month."The act of even seeking another extension to the loan, which is only a fraction of 1MDB’s RM42 billion debt, is an affront to BNM. 1MDB is also holding its bankers, in this case Maybank Bhd and RHB Bank, hostage as the banks will have little choice but to grant 1MDB a further extension to the loan."It is completely unbecoming and irresponsible for 1MDB, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance to bully its financiers. At the same time, 1MDB’s delinquency threatens both the credit-worthiness of the Malaysian government and the stability of the Malaysian banking system," Pua said.The Bloomberg report had said the state-owned investment company needed more time to repay the debt as it’s still in discussions with billionaire T. Ananda Krishnan, Malaysia’s second-richest person, citing people who asked not to be named as the process was private."Krishnan may excercise an option, granted when he sold energy assets to 1MDB in 2012, to buy part of the Edra Global Energy Bhd unit, the people said," according to the report.Pua said it was scandalous that the question of 1MDB’s ability to repay a RM2 billion debt now hinged entirely on whether Ananda Krishnan decides to exercise his options to acquire a stake in a 1MDB’s subsidiary."Firstly, 1MDB had overpaid Ananda Krishnan with an RM8.5 billion acquisition of his power assets in 2012. Now Ananda holds the trump card to potentially buy a strategic stake in 1MDB’s energy division at a fire-sale price because 1MDB has a RM2 billion sword hanging over its head."And the new chief executive officer, Arul Kanda, has the cheek to tell the media that 1MDB is a 'responsible borrower," he added. – January 28, 2015.

Sekumpulan enam orang polis dari ibu pejabat kontinjen Kuala Lumpur menyerbu pejabat Zunar pagi dan merampas sejumlah 155 naskhah penerbitan yang diusahakan oleh kartunis popular itu.

"Serbuan di pejabat saya di bawah Seksyen 2 Akta Mesin Cetak dan Penerbitan, Seksyen (1)(c) Akta Hasutan dan Seksyen 500 Kanun Keseksaan," kata Zunar di Twitter.

Difahamkan, pasukan dari Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Kuala Lumpur itu tiba di bangunan pejabatnya di Pudu, Kuala Lumpur sejak jam 11 pagi.

Zunar berkata, ia terdiri daripada 66 buah buku berjudul 'Pirates of Carry BN' dan 86 buah buku edisi bahasa Inggeris 'Conspiracy to Imprison  Anwar' dan tiga buah buku dengan judul yang sama dalam edisi bahasa Melayu.

Zunar atau Zulkifli Anwar Ul-Haq kini berada di Cambridge, United Kingdom atas urusan kerja.

Mengulas tindakan itu, Zunar pihak terbabit sepatutnya mengemukakan saman ke atasnya sekiranya penerbitan berkenaan dianggap memfitnah mereka.

“Kalau kartun dianggap memfitnah, silakan orang yamg terasa itu kemuka saman sivil. Tiada masalah. Saya bantah guna undang-undang jenayah separti Akta Hasutan

Zunar berkata, beliau juga bimbang jika polis akan turut menyiasat pemilik premis yang menjadi disewa untuk pejabat tersebut.

“Ketika serbuan, polis asyik bertanya siapakah pemilik ruang pejabat yang saya sewa. Adakah mereka akan menyoal siasat pemilik pula?,” soalnya.

Terdahulu, seorang kakitangan Zunar ketika dihubungi mendakwa polis tidak mengemukakan waran untuk operasi tersebut.

Cukup mengejutkan dan tuannya kelu apabila seekor kucing di Florida yang dilanggarkan sebuah kereta, dan dikebumikan kemudiannya, bangkit semula dari kuburnya.

Pemilik kucing berusia 23 bulan itu, Ellis Hutson, berkata tubuh Brat (nama kucing) - dijumpai di tengah jalan dan berlumuran darah selepas terlibat dalam insiden itu dua minggu lalu, lapor portal berita ABC news.

Dalam laporan itu, Hutson berkata beliau menyuruh rakannya mengebumikan Brat selepas tukang kebunnya amat sedih selepas kehilangan Brat yang dimanjai sejak kecil.

"Kami cukup rapat, saya tidak sanggup untuk mengebumikannya. Saya letaknya ditepi jalan dan pergi mendapatkan David (kawan).

"Dia menggali lubang dan kambus kucing itu dengan tanah. Saya sendiri menyaksikan dia mengebumikan kucing itu," katanya dilapor portal berita itu pada Rabu.

Bagaimanapun lima hari lalu, Brat muncul di rumah jirannya dalam keadaan lemah, dehidrasi dan memerlukan rawatan rapi kerana rahangnya pecah, muka serta matanya cedera parah.

"Saya  membuka pintu dan jiran saya berdiri di depan sambil memegang kucing itu dalam pelukannya," katanya Hutson.

"Dia (jiran), Bart tak mati. Saya kata itu tidak mungkin. Kami telah mengebumikannya," katanya lagi dalam laporan itu.

Brat telah menjalani pembedahan di klinik veterinar Humane Society untuk membetulkan rahang dan mengeluarkan matanya dan dijangka pulih dan pulang ke rumah selepas beberapa hari.

เรื่องย่อแหวนทองเหลือง

'ร้อยเอกกฤษดา ดำรงธรรม’ (ผู้พันเบิร์ด – พันโทวันชนะ สวัสดี) นายทหารหนุ่มที่จบจากเวสต์พอยต์ ลูกชายคนเดียวของ 'เจ้าคุณเทศา’ (นาท ภูวนัย) เป็นทหารหนุ่มที่มีอุดมคติ รักชาติบ้านเกิดเมื่อเกิดสงครามโลกครั้งที่ ๒ ไทยจำยอมเข้าร่วมกับกองทัพญี่ปุ่น ทหารไทยหลายคนไม่เห็นด้วย ในจำนวนนั้นรวมถึงกฤษดาด้วย เมื่อญี่ปุ่นรู้ว่ากฤษดาจบวิชาทหารจากเวสต์พอยต์ จึงตามสอดแนมกลัวติดต่อกับอเมริกา กฤษดาอึดอัดใจมากจึงตัดสินใจลาออก พระยาดำรงภิรมย์จึงส่งกฤษดาไปเชียงใหม่

กฤษดาออกเดินทางไปเชียงใหม่ โดยอำพรางเป็นคณะเดินทางท่องเที่ยว โดยชวนเพื่อนๆ ไปด้วย ซึ่งมี 'ป่านแก้ว’ (จิ๊บ – ปกฉัตร เทียมชัย) มาด้วย คนที่คอยดูแลกฤษดาอย่างดีที่เชียงใหม่ คือ 'กำนันปาน’ (สุเชาว์ พงษ์วิไล) แต่คนตื่นเต้นมากที่สุด คือ 'ดวงใจ’ (พิงกี้ – สาวิกา ไชยเดช) ลูกสาวกำนันปาน ดวงใจเคยพบกฤษดาก่อนที่เขาจะไปเมืองนอก ความสุภาพแสนดีของเขาที่มีต่อเธอ ทำให้ดวงใจรักและเทิดทูนกฤษดา แต่ดวงใจต้องผิดหวังเมื่อมีป่านแก้ว คู่อาฆาตตั้งแต่เด็กร่วมคณะมาด้วย และที่แย่กว่านั้นคือ ดวงใจสังเกตได้ว่าป่านแก้วหลงรักกฤษดา

กฤษดาได้พบดวงใจในงานเลี้ยงต้อนรับ ความน่ารักสดใสของเธอประทับใจเขาจนกลายเป็นความรัก สำหรับดวงใจแล้ว กฤษดาเป็นทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างของเธอที่ทำให้มีชีวิตอยู่ได้ ทั้งสองแอบได้เสียกัน กฤษดาได้มอบล็อกเกตประจำตระกูลที่เขาห้อยติดตัวตั้งแต่เด็กให้ดวงใจ เพื่อให้ดวงใจมั่นใจในความรักของเขา ส่วนดวงใจมอบแหวนทองเหลืองที่พ่อเคยให้แม่ ให้กับกฤษดา เพื่อยืนยันหัวใจรักที่เธอมอบให้เขาคนเดียว เมื่อกฤษดารู้ว่าจะมีเสรีไทยลักลอบเข้าเมืองไทย กฤษดาดีใจที่จะได้ทำงานเพื่อชาติ ทำให้เขาต้องหายตัวไปเฉยๆ จากดวงใจ ดวงใจเสียใจแทบเป็นบ้าเพราะคิดว่ากฤษดาทิ้งเธอ แต่ด้วยคำมั่นสัญญาที่เคยให้ต่อกัน ทำให้ดวงใจคิดมาตามหากฤษดาที่กรุงเทพ แต่ดวงใจตั้งท้องและแพ้ท้องอย่างหนัก

พอกำนันปานรู้เรื่อง จึงยัดเยียดให้ดวงใจแต่งงานกับ 'หนานอุย’ (กีรติ เทพธัญญ์) ที่หลงรักดวงใจ ดวงใจไม่ยอมและจะหนี กำนันปานจึงล่ามโซ่ข้อเท้าดวงใจขังไว้ ดวงใจเชือดส้นเท้าตัวเองเพื่อให้หลุดจากโซ่ และหนีกระเซอะกระเซิงไปตามหากฤษดาจนได้ แต่การเดินทางครั้งนี้ ทำให้ชีวิตดวงใจต้องพบกับผู้ชายหลายแบบทั้ง 'หมอเมตตา’ (อู-ภาณุ สุวรรณโณ) ที่ช่วยทำคลอดให้เธอบนรถไฟ และนายทหารญี่ปุ่น 'โตชิโร่’ (ฟลุค-จิระ ด่านบวรเกียรติ) ที่ช่วยชีวิตเธอไว้จากระเบิดในสงคราม ทั้งสองหนุ่มหลงรักดวงใจ แต่สำหรับหญิงสาวแล้ว หัวใจเธอไม่เคยลืมชายที่ชื่อ 'กฤษดา’

กติกา

ผู้เข้าแข่งขันแก้ปริศนาของ 12 บุคคลปริศนา และภายหลังเปลี่ยนเป็น 9 บุคคลปริศนา โดยที่ทุกคนจะมีตัวตน เช่น “เด็กหลังซองไวไว” ที่ผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะต้องจับคู่ให้ครบจึงจะได้เงินรางวัลสูงสุด 100,000 บาท
ก่อนการแข่งขัน พิธีกรจะให้สิทธิ์แก่ผู้เข้าแข่งขันที่จะให้บุคคลปริศนาแนะนำตัวแก่ผู้เข้าแข่งขันได้ 3 คน
ในการเล่นนั้น ผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะต้องเลือกตัวตนขึ้นมาทายทีละหนึ่งตัวตนจากทั้งหมด เมื่อเลือกตัวตนได้แล้วจะต้องเลือกหมายเลขของบุคคลปริศนาที่คิดว่าตรงกับตัวตนที่เลือกมาให้ถูกต้อง เมื่อเลือกเสร็จแล้วให้ประทับฝ่ามือลงบนแท่นเป็นการยืนยันคำตอบ จากนั้น บุคคลปริศนาที่ผู้แข่งขันเลือกจะเฉลยคำตอบ หากตอบถูก เงินรางวัลจะสะสมสูงขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ

 

กรณีที่ตอบผิด ตัวช่วย “ผิดได้ 1 ครั้ง” จะใช้งานโดยอัตโนมัติ หากตอบผิดเป็นครั้งที่ 2 เกมจะจบลง และผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะไม่ได้รับเงินรางวัลที่สะสมมา แต่ผู้เข้าแข่งขันสามารถ “หยุดเล่น” ได้ทุกเมื่อ และรับเงินรางวัลตามที่สะสมมา ผู้เข้าแข่งขันสามารถพาเพื่อนของผู้เข้าแข่งขันมาเป็นที่ปรึกษาได้

วิพากษ์วิจารณ์อย่างหนักกรณีมีการอ้างเป็นไลน์ของอาจารย์สาว ม.ดังย่านฝั่งธนฯ ได้ส่งไลน์แฉพฤติกรรมของนักศึกษาชาย

จากกรณีข่าวอาจารย์สาวม.ดังย่านฝั่งธนส่งไลน์แฉนักศึกษาชายเหตุจับได้มีสัมพันธ์กับแฟนตัวเอง ล่าสุด เจ้าตัวให้สัมภาษณ์บอกไม่เป็นความจริง

(23 ม.ค.) กลายเป็นประเด็นที่ถูกวิพากษ์วิจารณ์อย่างหนักในโลกออนไลน์ กรณีมีการอ้างเป็นไลน์ของอาจารย์สาว ม.ดังย่านฝั่งธนฯ ได้ส่งไลน์แฉพฤติกรรมของนักศึกษาชายคนหนึ่งที่มีการกล่าวอ้างว่ามีความสัมพันธ์ลึกซึ้งกับแฟนหนุ่มของตนเอง ซึ่งในไลน์ที่ปรากฎนั้นมีการเขียนข่มขู่ให้เลิกติดต่อกันพร้อมกับมีการข่มขู่ว่าจะตัดสิทธิ์การให้ทุน กยศ.

และเรื่องดังกล่าวเป็นเหตุให้นักศึกษาชายคนดังกล่าวทนไม่ไหวได้ไปแจ้งความกับเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจที่ สน.บุปผาราม เนื่องจากเจ้าตัวเกรงว่าจะไม่ปลอดภัยเพราะถูกข่มขู่จากข้อความเฟซบุ๊คและคลิปเสียง

ด้าน เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจ ได้เปิดเผยว่าเรื่องดังกล่าวมีการมาแจ้งความลงบันทึกประจำวันไว้จริงเมื่อวันที่ 19 ม.ค. ที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งนักศึกษาชายได้เดินทางมาแจ้งความโดยบอกว่าได้มีเพศสัมพันธ์กับอาจารย์หนุ่มโรงเรียนเดียวกัน แต่ถูกอาจารย์สาวซึ่งเป็นแฟนของอาจารย์หนุ่มจับได้และเกิดไม่พอใจ เลยเรียกไปตักเตือน หลังจากนั้นก็บอกผ่านไลน์ให้เลิกยุ่งเกี่ยวกัน และมีการต่อว่าด่าทอและข่มขู่ นักศึกษาชายคนนี้จึงได้มาแจ้งความลงบันทึกประจำวันไว้ 

ด้าน อาจารย์สาว หลังจากที่เรื่องเกิดเป็นข่าวขึ้นมานั้นได้ให้สัมภาษณ์ผ่านนักข่าวเรื่องเล่าเช้านี้ โดยบอกว่า ไม่เป็นความจริงแต่อย่างใด พร้อมกับบอกว่าตนเองมีแฟนอยู่แล้ว แต่ไม่ใช่อาจารย์ที่สอนอยู่ที่เดียวกัน

จากเรื่องดังกล่าวไม่ได้มาจากเรื่องชู้สาว แต่เป็นเรื่องของการตักเตือนด้วยถ้อยคำรุนแรง จนกระทั่งมีการกระทบกระทั่งและตอบโต้กันในเฟซบุ๊ค และได้ตกลงเคลียร์กันจบแล้ว และนักศึกษาชายจะไปถอนแจ้งความในวันนี้ (23 ม.ค.) นอกจากนี้อาจารย์สาวคนดังกล่าวได้บอกว่า เรื่องนี้น่าจะมาจากการเมืองภายในสถาบันและตนเองก็ตกเป็นเครื่องมือในครั้งนี้

Lawyers today slammed Putrajaya over its plans to include certain provisions from the now-defunct Internal Security Act (ISA) in the new anti-terrorism law, saying it is another betrayal to the people after the promise to repeal the Sedition Act was not kept.N Surendran, PKR's Padang Serai MP, said the people were led to believe by the Barisan Nasional government, prior to the 13th general election, that Malaysia would be rid of laws on preventive detention with the repeal of ISA."It is utterly disgraceful for (Home Minister Datuk Seri) Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and other BN leaders to constantly use the Paris attacks as an excuse to pass draconian new laws threatening the civil liberties of all Malaysians."Why BN's rush to bring in harsher laws, when it is in fact not required to tackle the problem of terrorism? What is the real agenda?" the lawyer asked in a statement today.Wan Junaidi told The Malaysian Insider today that Putrajaya was considering incorporating some of the provisions in the ISA into a new act, in the wake of threats of terrorism such as that posed by the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (Isis).“The government has promised that the ISA will not be restored, but perhaps after it is vetted, (the new law) will have provisions similar to the ISA," he said, adding that the law was necessary to curb terrorist activities in the country.Wan Junaidi said the new law would be divided into different sections, which would include punishment and preventive measures.Using the recent terrorist attacks in Paris as an example, the minister said the incident served as a lesson for Malaysia and a reminder to the government of the need to be careful in anticipating such violence.“We cannot wait for someone to bomb a building before we arrest him. No one in Malaysia wants that to happen.“Do you want what happened in Paris to occur here? Sometimes, we go on and on about democracy, but we never asked ourselves how much of a democracy we want," he said.This comes four years after the BN government repealed the draconian law in 2011, as part of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's promise of political reform after assuming the top office in 2009.The controversial act allowed the police to detain without trial, any individual suspected of threatening national security for 60 days, after which a detainee could remain under remand for another two years subject to the home minister's approval."It is now clear that BN is determined to use the global terrorist threat as an excuse to reintroduce detention without trial in Malaysia," Surendran said of the proposed new law."Existing laws such as the SOSMA 2012 [Security Offences (Special Measures) Act] are more than adequate to deal with any potential terrorist threat."Under Sosma, authorities are allowed to detain anyone for 28 days without being brought to court, which Surendran noted was greater than any comparable legislation in countries such as the United States, Australia or United Kingdom."Ironically, the above Western countries face vastly greater danger from terrorism than Malaysia," he added.Rights group Lawyers for Liberty (LFL) said that reviving an ISA-like law was the second "about-face" from Najib after he reneged on his repeated promises to abolish the Sedition Act."While not doubting the serious dangers of extremism and militancy, the solution will not be found in reviving an oppressive and antiquated law akin to the ISA that provides for wide and arbitrary powers to detain suspects indefinitely without recourse to due process and a fair trial," said LFL executive director Eric Paulsen in a statement.Instead, Putrajaya should look into the root causes of extremist and militant acts, and investigate the conditions that allow such ideologies to flourish and led Malaysians to the Middle East to fight alongside Isis and other groups, he said."The government should restructure the Special Branch and other internal security apparatus to target genuine security threats instead of being misused for political ends against legitimate dissent and the opposition."Detention without trial is simply no longer acceptable in this day and age, a grave violation of international law including the right to fair trial and due process," Paulsen added. – January 26, 2015.

Penggodam itu dikesan mendaftar keluar menggunakan nama "Cyber Caliphate" (khalifah siber) dan meminta pengguna Twitter mengikuti akaun  @UMG_Chris dan @UMGRobert.

Selangor reps stopped from speaking at anti-highway protest

Protesters hold up placards at the anti-Kidex and anti-DASH rally in Petaling Jaya today. – The Malaysian Insider pic by Mukhriz Hazim, January 25, 2015.Tension ran high at a protest against the proposed Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) and Damansara-Shah Alam Expressway (DASH) in Petaling Jaya today when Selangor state government representatives were not allowed to speak at the event.An argument occurred when the Say No To Kidex (SNTK) protem co-chairman Dr Mohan Mahatheva told off Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua and his group who were about to go on stage to address the 400-over crowd gathered at Dataran Petaling Jaya since 10am.Pua, along with Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo and Subang MP R.Sivarasa, were asked to hold their own forum instead to explain to the residents of Petaling Jaya and Damansara over their "failure" to help stop the projects.In defending their right to speak at the gathering, Pua in a press conference later expressed his regret over what had transpired.“Despite initial agreement to allow us to respond and to allow YB Sivarasa and me to speak, they decided not to let us respond."We regret that as much as there is truth in what they said, there were also half truths and incorrect information," said Pua.He said one of the most commonly exerted "half truth" was the accusation that Pakatan Rakyat elected representatives did absolutely nothing regarding the projects.“Let me also state that at this point of time, there has been no approval given by the state government to Kidex," said Pua.He said the land acquisition caveat, issued during the previous state government under Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim had expired and the request to renew the caveat has been denied.Pua added the state government would not approve the Kidex project if it failed to meet with the conditions set by Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali by February 14.“If the conditions are not met, then there will be no highway," said Pua.He said although he appreciated the anti-highway groups' effort in bringing the issues to the state government's attention, there was also "plenty of salt and pepper" being added to discredit the work of PR reps on the matter.“We support their effort... but there were also half truths and lies," said Pua.His remark has apparently angered some of the residents, who were listening to the press conference and demanded him to point out the "lies". Pua responded to this by saying that the "lies" had already been mentioned.Meanwhile, Sivarasa said the Dash issue was more complicated but efforts are being made to address residents' grouses, including possible realignment of the highway at areas deemed too close to their houses.During the protest, both groups (SNTK and Say No To Dash) expressed their frustration over what they described as the failure of the elected representatives from Pakatan Rakyat, training their guns at Azmin for his "silence" on the issue.

They tell me they do not have money."Do not worry about money, I will find money. If we are not brave, how are we going to bring change? Let's bring (Datuk Seri) Anwar (Ibrahim), Azmin, (Datuk Seri) Najib (Razak) to court."It does not matter if we win or lose. At least we know more," said Zaid.He added that residents must not allow the state government and Putrajaya to take them as fools.“I am from Kelantan but I have stayed in Petaling Jaya for 44 years. This is a stupid crazy project. It was decided by the Cabinet in 2011 without consulting anybody except those who want to make money," Zaid said.He said the Pakatan Rakyat government had reneged on their promise to disallow construction of tolled highways.“Why is Azmin being so difficult? Don’t take us as fools," said Zaid.Kidex signed a concession agreement on November 15, 2013, and was given a year to fulfil conditions required in order to start work. In November last year, it was granted a three-month extension after failing to achieve several requirements.The 26.1-kilometre highway will start from the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) toll above the Sprint highway at the Damansara interchange and end at the Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP) at Bandar Kinrara Section 2.According to the concession company, Kidex could reduce traffic congestion on the LDP by 25% to 30% and on local roads, in areas like Bandar Utama by 10% to 20%.With 12 interchanges, the RM11.5 billion expressway plans to link drivers to Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong and Sprint highways, which residents claimed are already congested during peak hours.DASH will serve motorists from Puncak Perdana, Alam Suria, Denai Alam, Kampung Melayu Subang, Jalan Sungai Buloh, the Rubber Research Institute Malaysia, Kota Damansara, Damansara Perdana and Mutiara Damansara, Prolintas has said. – January 25, 2015
